Responding to claims that he is no longer working at Konami or his studio, Kojima Productions, the publisher insisted that he was instead on a long vacation following the release of the Phantom Pain.</div>

It was thought that Kojima was set to leave the company officially in December when his contract's non-compete clause expires.</div>
