Metal Gear Solid 5 has a new update from Konami |
KONAMI have released a new challenge for Metal Gear Solid 5 fans on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms.
The publisher has updated the Phantom Pain's list of FOB events and enemies, which now includes The New World Order.
The second Metal Gear Solid 5 FOB event kicked off earlier this week and is set to run until November 5, 2015.
It should be noted that in Event FOB missions, there is no risk of retaliation, meaning no defending player will attack your base as revenge.

Players are challenged to infiltrate a unit called Kill Count and ramps up the difficult on the earlier Mosquito’s Legacy event.
For those who have yet to encounter these missions, Event FOBs can only be accessed once you have played past Episode 31 in the main game.
The reward breakdown for completing the challenges included have been list by Konami.
FOB event rewards:
- For each platform core reached: [A++ Staff] x5 for each unit
- Bonus for the first platform core reached: [S+ Staff] x3 for the relevant unit
- Bonus for the last platform core reached: [S++ Staff] x1 for the relevant unit
Infiltrating the same platform and reaching the core from the second time onward will reward you with [A++ Staff] x5 only.
Konami are also providing fans the chance to Earn Espionage Points in FOB missions for a substantial GMP bonus.
Earning Espionage Points during the event period, now through to November 5, will provide rewards determined at the end of the event period, based on your total points.
FOB Infiltration Challenge:
- 100 points or more: [1,000,000 GMP]
- 500 points or more: [1,500,000 GMP]
- 1000 points or more: [2,000,000 GMP]
- 10000 points or more: [3,000,000 GMP]
