Metal Gear Solid 5: Konami give Kojima update as new Phantom Pain mission list revealed
A new update from Konami on Metal Gear Solid 5 director. Hideo Kojima's has been issued
METAL Gear Solid 5 reportedly has more to offer than the full list of Phantom Pain missions would have you believe.

UPDATE ONE: Konami have responded to reports that iconic Metal Gear Solid 5 director, Hideo Kojima has left the company.
Responding to claims that he is no longer working at Konami or his studio, Kojima Productions, the publisher insisted that he was instead on a long vacation following the release of the Phantom Pain.
It was thought that Kojima was set to leave the company officially in December when his contract's non-compete clause expires.
“Currently, Kojima is listed as a company employee [at Konami]," a spokesperson told Tokyo Sports.
“Currently, Kojima and the development team are finished developing Metal Gear Solid V and are taking a long time off from work.”
“Because the development time for console games is so long and fatigue builds up, it’s common for employees to take extended periods of time off when development is finished.”
Kojima was reportedly snapped at a farewell party at Konami's Tokyo offices on Friday, October 9, although Konami are reported as saying that they are unsure what event this would have been.
Rumours surrounding Konami and their relationship with the legendary game director first started surfacing earlier this year ahead of the release of Metal Gear Solid 5.

Metal Gear Solid 5 has proved a hit with fans who continue to look for Phantom Pain DLC proof
Fans continue to look deep into the game's data files to discover more about MGSV, it's become an on-going hobby for some who are curious to find answers to items found following its launch, such as the Chapter 3 "PEACE" placecard.
It's fair to say that datamined information is neither official confirmation from publisher Konami or evidence of a secret Phantom Pain DLC.
Sometimes it points to cut content that wasn't removed entirely, or simply shows some of the remanent that have since been dumped or tweaked by developers.

The Phantom Pain has proved a resounding success with fans
This week, fans carrying on the activity have claimed the discovery of eight so far unlisted missions for Metal Gear Solid 5, which appear in game files but have no accompanying data.
A post by one Redditor explains: "I don't want to say that these missions are part from Chapter 3, but I found curious how in Chapter 2 we had 12 replay missions (most of them in AFGH) and now we have 10 unaccounted 10 replay missions (most of them in MAFR).
"Those 10 with the 8 completely missing missions and the FLYK one would give un a total of 19. Very close to Chapter 2, isn't it?"
"I checked as much code as I could and found 10 "blocked" replay missions, 8 which seem to be a mistake and 8 which are completely missing. Also found demo missions and mother base stuff."

Konami are unlikely to comment on these new finds, having already released a statement of sorts telling fans they have no plans to announce any exciting new content for the game in the near future.
Konami have alluded to the fact that there's more to come for Metal Gear in the past, although it is unclear if they meant the story campaign or new multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online.
If a Phantom Pain expansion was announced, it would be sure to answer some of the gaming community's on-going questions surrounding the game.
