METAL GEAR Solid 5 director Hideo Kojima is leaving Konami to setup up his own team that will work with Sony to produce a new PS4 exclusive title.</div>

<strong>UPDATE ONE</strong>: Sony has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 5's iconic director, Hideo Kojima has entered into an agreement that will ensure that the first gaming title created by the newly formed Kojima Productions will be an console exclusive to PS4.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The new title will not be connected to either new Metal Gear or Silent Hills projects as they are both owned by Konami.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Sony say they will not be investing in Kojima Productions, while its first title will also be available on PC following its release on PS4, although it is currently unclear how long the exclusivity deal would last.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"I will be taking on a new challenge by establishing my own independent studio, and I am thrilled to be able to embark on this journey with PlayStation, who I have continued to work with all these past years," said Hideo Kojima, Game Designer, Kojima Productions.</div>

That's according to new reports today that claim Kojima plans to launch his own studio and is in talks with Sony to have its first title released on the PlayStation 4 platform.</div>

No information has been released on what the new game will be or how long it would take to be released on the PS4; <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/fallout-4-and-metal-gear-solid-5-lose.html" target="_blank">Metal Gear Solid 5</a>: The Phantom Pain was a huge project that was first revealed in 2012 and launched in September 2015.</div>

The new reports come from Japanese publication <a href="http://www.nikkei.com/article/DGXLZO95184030W5A211C1TI5000/" target="_blank">Nikkei</a>, it was widely reported in October this year that Kojima had officially left Konami and was under a non-compete clause until December.</div>

That's according to new reports that claim dataminers discovered code in the game that revealed the story event was always set to be put in motion.</div>

It also lists two other story sequences, including one involving Liquid's departure, which could also be part of the incomplete Missions 51, named titled Kingdom of the Flies, that was included in the Collector's Edition of the game.</div>

Another vague line of code called, Story Sequence, has also been found but it is unclear exactly how any of this fits together.</div>

One man in the know would be director Hideo Kojima, who has been busy highlighting some in-depth Phantom Pain analysis from writers Manabu Makime & Hitori Nojima, who both have ties to the franchise.</div>
