METAL Gear Solid 5 is set to go offline on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC, Konami has confirmed.
System servicing is set to start at around 7am, UK time and is scheduled to last around two hours, according to the publisher.
All platforms will be affected by this downtime, while no special reason has been given for outage, apart from the need to service the servers.
The same schedule of taking the Phantom Pain offline is also planned for October 16.
Konami have warned that circumstances may necessitate adjustments to the finishing time of this maintenance, although the given time of day will mean minimum disruption to fans in the UK.
Players will be unable to launch any Forward Operating Base Missions during this time, while other online features will also be made unavailable.
Konami have confirmed that FOB options will be taken offline 30 minutes ahead of time, meaning fans will not suffer a sudden outage during the sneaking op.
A message from Konami confirms: "During the maintenance period, FOB and other online features will be unavailable.
"Match-making services for FOB MISSIONs will be disabled 30 minutes prior to the scheduled maintenance time.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding."
Konami recently apologised for the somewhat troubled launch of Metal Gear Online, awarding each player 3000GP points to buy cosmetics items with, as well as boosting the XP leveling time available to fans from two weeks to three.
"We hereby apologise sincerely for the connection, as well as matching stability issues recurring since the MGO service started, that may have caused inconveniences," the publisher wrote to fans.
"the service is currently stable.
"We will continue to improve so that your experience is more pleasant."
Metal Gear fans, meanwhile continue to put together their own theories on how the Phantom Pain Chapter 3 discovery will pan out.
