XBOX One news this week includes Rockstar's GTA 5 boosted update, Fallout 4 DLC talks and Xbox Live's holiday struggles.
Xbox One fans have been able to try out some of GTA 5's latest content during the holiday period, with Rockstar deciding to launch it in two parts.
It was first reported that fans would be receiving several items that didn't appear in the earlier GTA Online update in December, leaving Xbox One, PS4 and PC users to wonder if things like the promised Declasse Tampa would remain as unverified rumours.
But it appears Rockstar were just waiting for a closer date to December 25, with Southern San Andreas Super Autos getting its showroom inventory boosted alongside Los Santos' annual snowfall.
GTA Online also saw an updated Adversary Mode roster released, including the new Beast vs. Slasher event, which introduced Railguns to multiplayer for the first time.
"If being armed to the teeth isn't enough, Slashers are also equipped with thermal vision to help seek out and bring down the elusive Beasts," a message from Rockstar revealed.
"Supporting 4-10 players, both teams will need to stay on the move and work together with their teammates to prevail in this new Adversary Mode."
Fallout 4 fans are waiting to find out what Bethesda plans to introduce to the post-apocalyptic title via their 2016 DLC packs.
Talk has recently returned to the subject of a new underwater adventure, with players searching the ocean floor and finding promising structures that could point to content that has yet to be added.
Others have found a new Harpoon weapon which includes bubble animation that would work nicely in the sea and could be part of a planned Fallout 4 DLC update.
Fans have also taken note of some of the concept art supplied by Bethesda which show several scenes unfolding under the waves in several different locations.
However, even if Bethesda have decided to explore the deep, it doesn't mean that it won't simply be part of a bigger mission and there is still information on how big these new expansions will be.
Xbox Live fans have been hit by some serious issues during the holiday season, with many users unable to access core services for long periods.
The Xbox Live Status page only reported "Purchase and Content Usage" problems which stopped console owners buying downloadable games on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
However, users have also reported issues connecting to multiplayer modes on titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, while others say they have been unable to install games that they had just been given.
The original issues affecting buying content have been resolved, according to Microsoft, although it appears some users in the UK are continuing to struggle.
"My network test shows my internet is connected but have been trying to play Halo 5 and it cannot retrieve my saved data," One Xbox One owner wrote.
Another added today: "Just spent 2 hours on live chat with support for her to tell me at the end that it's a known issue and they will fix at some point!"
