Xbox One fans have been able to try out some of GTA 5's latest content during the holiday period, with Rockstar deciding to launch it in two parts.</div>

But it appears Rockstar were just waiting for a closer date to December 25, with Southern San Andreas Super Autos getting its showroom inventory boosted alongside Los Santos' annual snowfall.</div>

GTA Online also saw an updated Adversary Mode roster released, including the new Beast vs. Slasher event, which introduced Railguns to multiplayer for the first time.</div>

"If being armed to the teeth isn't enough, Slashers are also equipped with thermal vision to help seek out and bring down the elusive Beasts," a message from Rockstar revealed.</div>

Announced earlier this month by Xbox's Larry Hryb, fans can now check out the full roster of current discounts on offer for Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles.</div>

The format of the sale will include first week deals, followed by a refreshed list of titles. the games currently listed will be available from December 22 to 28.</div>

GTA 5 fans can expect yet more content to hit Online this month, following the release of the  Executive and Other Criminals DLC.<br />
It's expected to be chock full of festive items, including Christmas trees for Apartments and some slightly mad new mask designs.<br />
It will mean that Rockstar will have followed the example set down for their past Lowriders update, where they hid fresh Halloween content that went live at a later date.<br />
However, in an unexpected twist, fans can also look forward to at least one new vehicle.<br />
The Tampa muscle car is set to make its debut in the <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/gta-5-fans-on-xbox-one-ps4-and-pc-given.html" target="_blank">GTA 5 update</a>, having been featured in the GTA: San Andreas and the GTA IV Gay Tony DLC expansion on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.<br />
It's currently unclear if the snow mechanics will be making a return this year, fans will remember being pegged by a few lethal snowballs in 2014 which usually ended in a full out fight.<br />
For those hoping to afford some of the new goodies heading to GTA Online later this month, Rockstar helpfully put on the Executives and Other Criminals Event Weekend.<br />
The event has now ended in the UK but contained multiple ways to earn Double GTA$ as well as RP boosts and significant discounts on items such as armour and ammo.<br />

Activision recently revealed a new teaser trailer for the official Call of Duty: <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/black-ops-3-zombies-update-see-nikolais.html" target="_blank">Black Ops 3</a> expansion - Awakening, which will include a brand new chapter in the Zombies saga.<br />
Awakening is set to arrive first on PS4 and will include four new multiplayer maps—Skyjacked, Rise, Splash, and Gauntlet, as well as the next chapter in the Black Ops 3 Zombies saga, Der Eisendrache.<br />
The Iron Dragon map will be set around the Hohenwerfen Castle in Austria and will be launched first on the PlayStation 4, due to Sony's existing DLC content deal with Activision.<br />

Last year saw a widespread outage affect both consoles which was implemented by an online group calling themselves Lizard Squad.<br />
And 2015 could see a similar DDOS attack hit fans after a new group appeared to threaten both Microsoft and Sony with the same outcome for their online gaming infrastructures.<br />
Called Phantom Squad, the group recently took credit for an outage affecting the Xbox Live network late on Thursday evening.<br />
Many users were unable to access core services for several hours and will likely be anxious to avoid a repeat of last year's December 25 and 26 outages.<br />

Last year saw a widespread outage affect both consoles which was implemented by an online group calling themselves Lizard Squad.</div>

And 2015 could see a similar DDOS attack hit fans after a new group appeared to threaten both Microsoft and Sony with the same outcome for their online gaming infrastructures.</div>

Called Phantom Squad, the group recently took credit for an outage affecting the <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/xbox-live-down-xbox-one-and-xbox-360.html" target="_blank">Xbox Live</a> network late on Thursday evening.</div>

Many users were unable to access core services for several hours and will likely be anxious to avoid a repeat of last year's December 25 and 26 outages.</div>

Computer security expert Kevin Curran said tools are readily available to carry out DDoS attacks and as long as they are so accessible, PS4 and Xbox One networks – as well as many other systems - are at risk.<br />

<strong>UPDATE ONE: </strong>New signing in issues has hit Xbox One users in the UK and North America, Microsoft has confirmed.</div>

Writing on the official Xbox Live service status page, the tech giant revealed that fans were struggling to access key online features today.</div>

"Hey Xbox members, are you having issues signing in to Xbox Live? We are aware of this and are working hard to get it resolved ASAP!" an official Microsoft statement reads.</div>

Problems first started being reported at around 9pm UK time and seem to confirm a major world outage for Xbox Live.</div>
