Fortunately, she was given the all clear, but is to undergo a treatment in order for the cells to return to normal.
Writing on her blog she said: “Having this procedure will save my life and many more, let’s please be vigilant and share a kind word of encouragement with friends, cousins, sisters, aunts and mothers to make sure they have all had theirs.

The mum-of-two is also an avid health campaigner

“You cannot put a price on life and sadly no amount of embarrassment, fear or regret can ever bring you back from the grave.
“At the age of 28 I never would have thought that something like this could happen to me, I thought irregular bleeding, period cramps that linger and back ache was just a sign of getting old and having children but it’s not. You know in yourself when something isn’t right and when your body isn’t behaving as normal.
“A quick smear test could save your life and I’m incredibly thankful that I had mine.”
