Witcher 3: New Hearts of Stone terror unleashed on Xbox One and PS4 by CD Projekt RED
CD Projekt RED's latest Witcher 3 monster has been unleashed in Hearts of Stone
CD PROJEKT RED have unleashed a new terror on gamers currently playing the Hearts of Stone DLC on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Ever found a money exploit in a game and squeezed it for all its worth? I know in my darkest moments this has helped me along in certain titles and is usually something developers squish pretty early on.
Looking back on the release of the Wild Hunt back in May, many players found Cowhides to be a good business to get into, profiteering early and making things a little easier when it came to snapping of those expensive buys.
Slaughtering the quick spawning Cows meant plenty of cash for Geralt, until CD Projekt RED took note and unleashed a super-powered vengeful monster as a terrifying "Bovine Defense Force Initiative."

Hearts of Stone is the new DLC for the Witcher 3
And if that wasn't fun enough - depending on what you think of as fun - the studio deployed another new nod to some of the money exploits that fans used early on.
During your time exploring the main Hearts of Stone storyline, players have found themselves confronted by the Deputy Tax Enumerator from the Revenue and Customs department of occupied Termeria, wanting to discuss some misdealings from the past.

A Hides & Pearls Tax has come into effect and he wants to know if you've done anything untoward during your time in the area, including:
  • Engaging in the wholesale trade of rawhide in the White Orchard area.
  • Engaging in the acquisition of bivalves with the express intention of selling the pearls.
"Whoever purchases goods at an unseemly low price to take advantage of the seller's ignorance shall be subject to a fine equaling 200 percent of the earnings from any such transaction," the CD Projekt Tax boogey, Walthemor Mitty tells you.
Saying yes to these events means paying a fine, while gamers can also deny them and and get commended for your good behaviour.
Hopefully this running joke will continue in the Blood and Wine expansion planned for release in the first half of 2016.
It would be a master stroke if players who lied then suffered a terrible consequence in the next DLC offering, something all gamers would agree as a nice touch.
