BUNGIE have announced new Destiny Taken King changes are set to land on PlayStation and Xbox platforms and have also explained a new shift in content.
The studio have revealed they will be launching yet another update for Destiny: The Taken King in the near future in a bid to combat some of the issues fans have been encountering since the return of certain key events.
Creative Director for the expansion, Luke Smith, held a mini Q&A with fans online, admitting that some of the rewards available in the game, especially the Nightfall loot, was not good enough.
Bungie have since unveiled their plans to go ahead and make further changes to the space MMO, which only saw its last downtime for the release of update 2.01 last week.
"There is another update inbound as soon as next week that will deliver more frequent and more powerful Legendary rewards to the Nightfall loot tables," community manager David Dague confirmed.
"We’ll save the specific numbers for the Patch Notes. And, of course, the best reality about the nature of those rewards will be found in your feedback."
Dague also took the chance to explain some of the reasoning behind the replacement of keys parts of the Destiny economy, specifically the Strange Coins and Weapon Parts.
"In Year 2, we took steps to streamline and simplify the economy for players, with hopes that providing more direct paths to gear and the stuff you needed to upgrade that gear would just be more satisfying across the board.
"Changes to economy of the game are made in the interest of preserving the value of the items in your inventory and ensuring that you have good uses for the things you’re saving."
The Bungie support team have also had to tweak some of the incoming events and content set to be re-released into the Destiny universe, including Trials of Osiris.
The Lighthouse challenge was supposed to make its return this week but has since been put on hold due to the discovery of a new game exploit linked to the Nightstalker subclass.
The Shadowshot skill can be glitched to make it a recurring attacking, making the blitzing TOO challenge, a lot easier.
Speaking on the subject of the Shadowshot exploit, Dague confirmed that Trials of Osiris would have to be kept offline until it had be eradicated from the game.
"A funny thing happened on the way to the Lighthouse," Dague commented.
"It turns out that there’s a particularly nasty bug that would undoubtedly conspire to create a less competitive return to form for Trials of Osiris. We’re going to be intentionally vague here, for what we hope are obvious reasons!
"We’re going to disable that bug before we invite you to take your next run at a 9-0. We’re also working on a final fix for the bug itself as soon as possible. As soon as we have a solid commitment for Brother Vance, we’ll make a formal announcement on when Trial of Osiris will begin again."
Further Destiny Taken King secrets have been found by hardworking fans who have been inspired by the game's Grimoire Cards and new weapons hunts.
