Nintendo NX update: New details found for 2016 console
The Nintendo NX could be launched in 2016 with multiple devices
NEW details surrounding the Nintendo NX console may have been discovered by fans before its official 2016 unveiling.

What appears to be a new Wii U-like controller or portable device, has been found by fans via patent papers put to American officials.
A built-in screen can be seen as a main feature of the new plans, taking up a fair chunk of the surface area.
The design was submitted back in February and includes a drop in buttons with just two face buttons in the designs, the Wii U boasts four, and what appears to be two scrollable shoulder tabs.
These top buttons are designed to be used with the index fingers, according to the patent, or alternatively with the thumb on one hand if the pad is being held in portrait mode like a mobile phone.
There are a lot of rumours circulating surrounding the launch of the new console, which may ship without a disc drive.

Not much is known about Nintendo's next console
Other reports, if proved true, would mean an intriguing development in the company's gaming strategy.
It's claimed that the NX is not so much a singular console but actually a platform, which will include both a handheld and home console device.
The Nintendo NX would be comparable to the PS4 and Xbox One, perhaps gambling on the lifecycle of both consoles lasting as long as the last-gen Xbox 360 and PS3.
One big change from those devices, however, will be the exclusion of an optical drive and the option of syncing with the portable.
These patents could be the early designs of that portable device rumoured last month, although many patents put forward by companies never reach fruition.
Nintendo recently announced that upcoming Wii U title, Star Fox Zero, has been delayed.
The Japanese games giant's plans to shelve the launch until the first quarter of 2016, Game producer Shigeru Miyamoto revealed this week, in a bit to improve the quality of Star Fox's cutscenes and exploration features.
