NINTENDO news this week includes Splatoon's final update, Legend of Zelda plans on Wii U and Nintendo NX's place in company's future.
Splatoon is set to wind down on content updates in January 2016 and some of the final weapons are starting be revealed.
Nintendo have pledged that Splatfest events and balancing patches will continue to keep the game running on Wii U, it is still unclear just how much new content will be added before it stops.
One new weapon coming to the game today is the Octobrush Nouveau, which will arrive at 10am in the UK.
The Octobrush-hybrid replaces the Squid Beakon and the Kraken with the Inkzooka and Splat Bombs.
It follows the release of what could be one of the last maps for Splatoon for Nintendo, the Piranha Pit, which was added to the rotation on December 28.

New video footage has surfaced online, apparently attached to an idea involving the history of Link and the Zelda series.
It's claimed that the new clip will be shown at a major event and will focus on the relationship of parents and their children's interaction with the iconic character.
It is currently not known what project this footage is tied to, only that it includes references to it appearing on the Wii U.
Gamer Professionals, who claim to have seen the video, say they believe it to be legitimate and have speculated could be attached to a new anthology title to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary.
A new Legend of Zelda title is set to be released in 2016 on the Nintendo console.
Rumours of a multi-platform device, complete with a controller that can also work as a standalone device, have been swirling since the announcement of the Nintendo NX project.
However, nothing concrete has been pinned down by Nintendo, who have confirmed they will not speak further about the console until 2016.
A new message shared by Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima reveals that the new console will continue to make up the core of Nintendo's business but he also speaks at length on how they want to expand their consumer reach.
"For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand-new concept and our unique software-led hardware-software integrated business will continue to constitute the core business for Nintendo," Kimishima explains in the new Nintendo statement.
"For the purpose of maximizing the population that interact with Nintendo IP, we will also enter into the smart device gaming business and aim to generate revenue and profit from it as well as to create synergy with the dedicated video game platform business."
