iOS 9 is causing havoc with older iPhones and iPads
Apple announces iOS 9, which promises new Siri features and better battery life, at WWDC this year
SWATHES of Apple customers are reporting their mobile devices have CRASHED due to the iOS 9 update rolled out earlier this week.

Apple rolled out its latest mobile operating system, iOS 9, earlier this week.
Just 90 minutes before the iOS update went live – Apple pulled an update for the Apple Watch, expected to roll out simultaneously, due to a bug in the code.
And now it appears Apple iPhone and iPad customers are experiencing difficulty with iOS 9, too.
A significant number of Apple customers have claimed the update has crashed their device, Reuters has reported.

The crashing issue appears to predominantly effect those running older models of iPhone and iPad. Apple allows anyone running iOS 8 to upgrade to iOS 9.
This would be the latest in a string of iOS launch glitches for the Cupertino technology firm.
I'm very annoyed because it's wasted half my day. They pride themselves on being a company that's flawless

Apple's iOS 8.0.1 update, released one year ago, stopped the iPhone from being able to make phone-calls.
The Touch ID fingerprint sensor was also broken for customers who updated their iPhones over wifi.
"It is beyond inconvenient to not be able to use your phone for a day," student Pip Cordi told Reuters.
She was outside the Apple store in central Sydney, trying to get her smartphone fixed after updating to iOS 9.
"I have a lot of apps that I use for school - things like language apps and dictionaries and that's all really important for my studies."
iOS 9 adds a slew of new features, including a more intelligent and indepdnent Siri, public transport information in Maps and up to FOUR hours of extra battery life.

Another iPhone user, Zorry Coates, said she had spent three hours in the Apple store.
At the end of the appointment, she was left with the option of either returning her phone to factory settings – losing any non-backed-up data – or waiting until Apple technicians announced an update.
"They said they were aware of the problem and their engineers were working on it 24/7, but they couldn't tell me when - or how - I would get a solution," Zorry said.
