iPhone Safari CRASH - Still can't tap the address bar in your iOS? This is Apple's FIX

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
APPLE has now resolved an issue that plagued iPhone and iPad users yesterday, and caused the iOS Safari web browser to CRASH whenever a URL or new search was entered in the address bar. If you are still having trouble with the default app, Apple has a fix.</h3>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
iPhone and iPad owners were yesterday <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/02/iphone-safari-crash-still-cant-tap.html">plagued by a glitch with the Safari web browser's auto-suggest feature, Safari Suggestions</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The bizarre bug caused the hugely-popular iOS web browser to CRASH whenever a user tried to enter a new search or URL into the address bar.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Sources within Apple say the issue only affected iOS <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/mac-safari-glitch-how-to-stop-os-x.html">and OS X users</a> whose Safari Suggestions data was updated late on the 26th January, Greenwich Mean Time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Apple has now rolled out a fix for the glitch, but some users could still be experiencing the infuriating bug.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's most likely because the iPhone or iPad still has the problematic Safari Suggestions data cached. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Clearing the cache should solve the issues for good. To do that, head to <strong>Settings > Safari</strong> then tap <strong>Clear History and Website Data</strong>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This will wipe the web history from any devices signed into your iCloud account, so don't panic if your MacBook also loses any record of your browsing.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Apple fans yesterday used a number of workarounds to avoid the issue, including searching in Private mode.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Apple has unveiled the first beta of iOS version 9.3, which includes a host of tweaks, improvements and new functionality.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The new operating system upgrade brings new features to Health, Wallet, CarPlay, Notes and Settings – as well as a new Night Mode.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Apple claims the latter "may even help you get a good night’s sleep."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's because Night Mode uses your current location combined with the clock on your device to work out when the sun will set.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When it does, your iPhone or iPad will automatically start to "shift the colours in your display to the warmer end of the spectrum," Apple claims on its website.</div>

This shift means the backlight in your device's display will be easier on your eyes.</div>

Night Mode hopes to solve this problem, so your iPhone won't affect your sleep when you're up late at night setting an alarm ready for the morning, or checking Facebook one last time before turning in.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the morning, it returns the display to its regular settings. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The functionality is very similar to f.lux – a hugely popular Windows and Mac app that gradually changes your display lighting based on the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The lightweight app, which hopes to reduce eye strain in users who work at night or in dimly-lit areas, has been downloaded more than 15 million times, according to the company.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Aside from Night Mode, other notable features in the latest version of iOS include –</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
That means any quick bullet-points about your financial details, medical info or website logins can be locked-down with Apple's biometric security.</div>

Apple has clearly spent some time tweaking its Health app, which hopes to become your go-to repository for all your health tracking data from wearables, like Jawbone, or apps like MyFitnessPal.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In iOS 9.3, categories such as Weight, Workouts, and Sleep have a new slider menu that reveals apps you can easily add to your Health dashboard.</div>

<strong>Extras</strong></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus users, Apple has added 3D Touch shortcuts to apps including Weather, Settings, Compass, Health, App Store and the iTunes Store.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Siri now supports Hebrew, Finish and Malay. And iCloud for iBooks will sync your Audiobooks, PDFs and more across your Apple devices.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first beta has only just been rolled-out to developers, so it will be a few weeks before the final release hits your iPhone.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But if you are itching to try out the new features you can always download a public beta, which Apple usually announces on its website closer to release.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As always, beta software can be frustratingly unstable so it's probably not a good idea to install it on your primary device.</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Can't connect to a wifi hotspot after upgrading your Apple device to iOS 9? Here is the solution</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
IF YOUR Apple iPhone or iPad is dropping wifi or having trouble to connect to your chosen network since updating to iOS 9 – this is the solution.<br />
<br />
Apple released its latest mobile operating system last month.<br />
iOS 9 brings a number of new features to your Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, including a smarter Siri and completely redesigned App Switcher.<br />
However some users have complained about a number of problems with the operating system – including <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/dont-panic-ios-9s-wifi-assist-is-not.html">the infamous new <strong>Wifi Assist</strong> option</a> and <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/this-iphone-glitch-is-causing-big.html">an annoying Bluetooth glitch</a>.<br />
Apple fans have also complained about issues with wifi connections following the free update.<br />
<br />
If your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is having trouble connecting to your wifi hotspot or is taking longer to connect – this could be the fix.<br />
First things first – swipe up on the Home Screen to access your <strong>Control Centre</strong> panel.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicCons8t4fJ0vwiuLa_s3YzNwHU_2ljhBCEn3d7WrG2gYFPD8-j7ENAzfvem-xuBXRJgPhapMLc-pIrk9P0EC3pFKmWLU7t57tcYyJhyIcoN7GVNPzKD3qayMJPXKuUfatFCj4RZXGW6w/s1600/iOS+9-+How+to+fix+BROKEN+wifi+after+your+Apple+OS+update+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="iOS 9: How to fix BROKEN wifi after your Apple OS update" border="0" height="568" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicCons8t4fJ0vwiuLa_s3YzNwHU_2ljhBCEn3d7WrG2gYFPD8-j7ENAzfvem-xuBXRJgPhapMLc-pIrk9P0EC3pFKmWLU7t57tcYyJhyIcoN7GVNPzKD3qayMJPXKuUfatFCj4RZXGW6w/s640/iOS+9-+How+to+fix+BROKEN+wifi+after+your+Apple+OS+update+2.jpg" title="iOS 9: How to fix BROKEN wifi after your Apple OS update" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Turning on Airplane Mode for a few seconds can be enough to successfully reconnect to a wifi hotspot</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Tap the small Aeroplane icon in the top row to enable <strong>Airplane Mode</strong>.<br />
Wait for a few seconds for the iPhone or iPad to disconnect from all of your wireless connections, and then tap the icon again to disable it.<br />
Your device will then reconnect to all of your wireless connections and will (<em>fingers crossed</em>) iron out all of your wifi woes.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Renew the Lease of your current connection to give your wifi a nudge in the right direction</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
The most pain-free way to give your wifi connection a nudge is to <strong>Renew the Lease</strong>.<br />
It does not involve reseting any of your system preferences or wifi options.<br />
Simply navigate to<strong> Settings > Wi-Fi</strong> and then tap on the small<strong> "i"</strong> icon next to your current network.<br />
Scroll to the bottom of the window that opens and tap the <strong>Renew Lease</strong> button at the bottom of the form.<br />
And that's it.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Disconnecting from your wifi network and starting again from scratch can solve your wifi woes </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
If that hasn't worked, it's worth reconnecting to your chosen wifi hotspot.<br />
It's a simple solution but is usually pretty effective.<br />
To <strong>Forget and Reconnect</strong> to a wifi connection on iOS 9, navigate to <strong>Settings > Wi-Fi</strong>.<br />
Pick your chosen wifi connection and then tap on the small <strong>"i"</strong> icon next to the name of the connection, then tap <strong>Forget This Network</strong>, which sits at the top of the network page.<br />
Then return to the Wi-Fi main menu, find your chosen hotspot and then reconnect from scratch (you'll need your password).<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Wifi Assist could be switching between your home wifi and mobile data behind your back</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
If your iPhone or iPad is struggling to connect to your chosen wifi network, it could be reverting to a cellular data connection instead.<br />
Apple included this feature <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/dont-panic-ios-9s-wifi-assist-is-not.html">– dubbed <strong>Wifi Assist</strong> –</a> by default with iOS 9.<br />
It's designed to ensure you are never without a strong internet connection, <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/dont-panic-ios-9s-wifi-assist-is-not.html">but can also burn through your monthly mobile data allowance</a>.<br />
To disable the new feature, navigate to <strong>Settings > Mobile Data</strong> and then scroll to the bottom of your installed apps.<br />
Toggle the <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/dont-panic-ios-9s-wifi-assist-is-not.html"><strong>Wifi Assist</strong></a> button to turn off the new feature.<br />

Domain Name System, or DNS, is the internet server which translates domain names like express.co.uk to IP addresses – the numerical sequence of digits that locates servers across the web.<br />
Your Internet Service Provider, or ISP, will have its own DNS server that will be used by default by all of the devices connected to your network.<br />
However these can sometimes be slow and clogged with the thousands of DNS lookups being requested.<br />
Fortunately there are some alternatives to your DNS.<br />
<br />
US technology firm Google operates a complimentary DNS service that promises speed, security and performance.<br />
Another alternative is Open DNS.<br />
To change your DNS settings navigate to <strong>Settings > Wi-Fi</strong> and then tap the <strong>"i"</strong> next to your current connection.<br />
Scroll down until you see the DNS form in the chosen connection's setting and tap on the numbers to the right.<br />
Your iOS 9 keyboard of choice will then appear and allow you to change the numbers.<br />
Enter the alternative DNS server you want to use.<br />
To use Google’s DNS use either of these addresses in the field, <strong>8.8.8.8</strong> or <strong>8.8.4.4</strong><br />
For Open DNS, type in <strong>208.67.222.222</strong> or <strong>208.67.222.220</strong><br />
