Apple is rumoured to be launching a revamped Reuse and Recycling trade-in scheme that will allow customers with smashed or broken iPhones to trade-in their smartphones for credit towards a brand-new iPhone.</div>

Until now, the Reuse and Recycling program has only accepted undamaged iPhones.</div>

But starting this week in the United States, iPhones with cracked screens, faulty cameras and broken buttons will be eligible to trade-in toward the latest iPhone models at Apple Retail stores.</div>

Apple regards its Touch ID and Apple Pay service as one of the most secure in the world and is clearly concerned about third party unofficial repairs leaving iPhone users vulnerable to cybercrime or identity theft.</div>

Locking down iPhones might seem a little extreme, but it is the only way Apple can ensure its users personal details and credit card information is totally secure.</div>

Apple is not forcing smartphone owners to only repair devices at an Apple Store. There are a number of authorised high street shops that will not cause the issue.</div>

The US firm adds: "The best way for customers to obtain a repair or service for iPhone is to call Apple, or visit an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider."</div>

It's not been a great week for Apple.</div>

<a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/iphone-safari-glitch-how-to-stop-ios.html">Yesterday, a glitch in the firm's Safari web browser caused iPhones and Macs to crash</a> across the globe, and now Apple has confirmed it's recalling some of its chargers.</div>

Apple is recalling AC wall plug adapters designed for use in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Continental Europe, New Zealand and South Korea.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The firm says that "in very rare cases, affected Apple two-prong wall plug adapters may break and create a risk of electrical shock if touched."</div>

Apple confirmed that it is aware of 12 incidents worldwide.</div>

The recall does not affect any other Apple AC wall plug adapters designed for Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom, United States or any Apple USB power adapters.</div>

Launching a new tab in the mobile web browser or trying to type into the address bar CRASHES the hugely-popular browser – sending users back to the iOS Home Screen.</div>

Apple has yet to acknowledge the problem, which appears to affect multiple versions of iOS <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/mac-safari-glitch-how-to-stop-os-x.html">– and Mac computers, too</a>.</div>

In the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds to get users up-and-running on Safari again.</div>

Browsing in a <strong>Private</strong> window temporarily fixes the issue. To do this, launch the Safari iOS app, then tap the <strong>Tab</strong> icon in the bottom right-hand corner. </div>

Your browser windows will then fan out like a rolodex, and the word <strong>Private</strong> will appear in the bottom left-hand corner. Tap this to launch <strong>Private</strong> browsing.</div>

Another option is to disable <strong>Safari Suggestions</strong> – the websites and search queries the browser pre-emptively guesses as you type into the address bar.</div>
