Destiny fans can earn more game rewards by dressing up for Halloween in-game |
DESTINY fans can look forward to a new competition when playing through The Taken King, while a fan has shown some serious skills when it comes to Crota's End boss battle.
The Festival of the Lost Costume Contest has been announced by the studio today, asking fans on PlayStation and Xbox platforms to dress up their Guardians in full Halloween gear.
There will be winners selected from three categories, with prizes being offered for first, second and third place.
They include:
Best Costume Portrait - Journey into the world of the game and strike a pose against the best background, with your Guardian in the ideal setting for your costume. Bring a friend to take the shot, if you want, but all we want to see is you.
Best Group Shot - Form up a Fireteam and agree on a theme for your costumes. Family affairs? Rivalries? Vendors who love their work? Your call. Show us what you come up with.
Best Dance Party - Expert Mode: Choreograph your moves. Put on a show. This takes synchronization and a spooky sense of style.
Destiny fans continue to find new ways to complete the game's missions |
Bungie has confirmed that winners will be unveiled in the Weekly Update blogpost, with prizes being awarded to honour achievements in each category.
First prize includes a Collector's Edition Strange Coin, second prize is an Exotic Engram Stress Ball and third prize is just a plain old Legendary Engram Stress Ball.
It follows the release of one of the most audacious attempts to beat Destiny's Crota's End boss battle, using a Rock Band drumkit.
YouTuber Sean Gallagher completed the task by himself with the less than traditional controller choice.
The Face button controls mapped to the drum heads are being used via a paper of wooden spoons, while directional pads on the drumkit are used to move his character around.
If you were looking for a way to upset Oryx more in The Taken King, this would have to be it.
Challenges are coming to King's Fall soon - both Normal and Hard. For now, we're working on how they'll reward you. https://t.co/J9vf8mP9B0
