Back to the Future: Nike could release Marty McFly's self-lacing trainers TODAY
Nike self-lacing trainers could be unveiled later today
SHOEMAKER Nike has teased the release of its famous Back to the Future self-lacing trainers, wore by Marty McFly in the 1989 classic film.

If you were a kid of the 80s, you probably thought Nike Air Mag self-lacing trainers were the coolest thing EVER.
Marty McFly donned the futuristic footwear in hit movie, Back To The Future Part II.
Now, some 30 years on we might finally be able to slip these tech trainers on our feet.

But the self-lacing trainers haven’t arrived fresh from the DeLoren, instead Nike teased footwear fans by sending a tweet to Back to the Future actor Michael J Fox.
The tweet cryptically read "see you tomorrow".

Of course this isn’t a guarantee that Nike is about to release its tech shoes, but they certainly appear to be in a sharing mood.
In an effort to keep intrigue levels high Nike has refused to unveil what else it has planned for Back to the Future Day.
It should be noted that this is not the first time we’ve seen Nike self-lacing shoes.

Earlier this year, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield suggested that Marty McFly's futuristic shoes might be on their way.
He teased: ”Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!"
To boost your excitement levels even higher we suggest you watch this clip of the shoes in action, and prey that Mr Hatfield is telling the truth.
