THE world of Grand Theft Auto 5 is full of secrets and easter eggs.

 

A mystery phone number has been confusing GTA 5 players

 

However, this latest discovery by a clued-up player could shift the game's dynamics completely.

Twitter user Karma Ingram has found that simply dialling a certain number in your phone will trigger a mid-air explosion for no apparent reason.

The number in question is 1-999-367-3767 and calls a contact dubbed 'Black Cellphones', leaving many players completely baffled.

But one savvy Youtuber claims to have solved the mystery, adding that the inclusion of a secret phone number is set to expand the already-huge world of Los Santos.

NoughtPointFourLIVE believes that Rockstar have changed the in-game phone to a 'Blackphone', which is essentially an untraceable mobile.

This real-life product, developed by Silent Circle subsidiary SGP Technologies, provides internet access through VPN.

 

One player believes there could be more numbers and restricted websites to visit in the world of GTA

He reckons that all gamers are now carrying a Blackphone, adding that restricted websites and contacts will be available through these secret numbers which have not been listed by Rockstar.

NoughtPointFourLIVE also reckons that the mobile phone number translates via the keypad into the word 'emperor', although 'empdrop' is also a possibility.

Whether this secret number discovery is a one-off or a new element added to GTA V by Rockstar remains to be seen, but it has certainly got intrepid players hooked.
