Gears of War 4: Xbox One title slated for Q3 release

MICROSOFT have confirmed that Gears of War 4 is set to be released earlier than anticipated.

The Xbox One exclusive had been scheduled for a Christmas 2016 release but looks likely to be in stores this autumn.

The revelation was made by Microsoft representatives during a livestream broadcast and is sure to be music to the ears of Xbox users around the world.

 



The game was originally scheduled to launch in winter 2016



 

This means that there is a chance of a Q3 release for Gears of War 4 provided it launches in September ahead of the upcoming beta release in spring.

The 1 million people who purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will gain automatic access to the beta and get a glimpse of the latest offering.

It is also reckoned that 45 per cent of those players are new to the franchise, meaning that Gears of War 4 looks likely to be a sure-fire hit for the Xbox One.

The new title is also being developed by The Coalition following Microsoft's franchise purchase from Epic Games, and we can't wait to see what it looks like.
