CD Projekt Red have responded to rumours about The Witcher 3 getting an 'Enhanced Edition'.

Reports at the weekend claimed that a French retailer had posted a listing for the unannounced title on their website with a February 5 release date.
Previous Witcher titles had also received new versions which made radical changes to gameplay and content, leading to excitement from devoted fans.

However, CD Projekt Red have denied knowledge of a Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition, with the company's PR man tweeting: "There's no Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that we are aware of, this is some kind of error that we will look into."
It was also made clear that a new edition is not in the works, with a tweet to a disgruntled fan reading: "We had EE for TW and TW2. But I know what I'm saying. I work at CD PROJEKT RED."

The Witcher 3 was released in May 2015 and was one of the year's biggest hits despite the release of titles including Metal Gear Solid 5 and Fallout 4.
It also received unanimous praise from critics, being named Game of the Year at a number of events including the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards 2015.
