A 4.4 earthquake rattle Southern California on Tuesday evening, jarring some nerves but causing no major damage on injuries.

The temblor occurred at 5:48 p.m. at a depth of 3.1 miles. The epicenter near the town of Muscoy was six miles from Rialto, six miles from Fontana and seven miles from Crestline.
Maps by the U.S. Geological Survey showed the quake was felt across a large swath of the region. It was most strongly felt in San Bernardino County.
The quake was followed by several aftershocks, the strongest one measure 3.8 magnitude.
The Los Angeles Fire Department, as is typical when quakes hit, went into "earthquake mode," in which officials survey for possible damage.
In the last 10 days, there have been four earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
