Fallout 4's Fatman wasn't allowed in the challenging run

Back before its release, director Todd Howard confirmed that fans would be given a level of choice within the game when it came to strategy but there would ultimately be people who would have to be killed along the way.
Players would be able to avoid violence a lot but fights would have to be won, which is quite clear when running through the main quest lines.
However, one gamer decided to test that theory, taking on the challenge of trying to directly end someone’s life. It meant scoring zero kills and it took many hours to achieve.
Kyle Hinckley, who featured his quest via his YouTube channel, revealed his thoughts on the unique and frustrating accolade.

Amazon have revealed that Fallout 4 was their second most bought video game

“It’s not about whether or not I’m against violence, because the game doesn’t give you like Fallout: New Vegas-esque abilities to avoid violence completely,” Hinckley commented during his runthrough.
“All that matters to us is [that the game doesn’t count any kills.]...Robots, turrets, legendary enemies, synths, all this shit. Zeroes. All the way down the line.
“That’s what we want. That’s all we want. If we can do that, that’s a pretty crazy achievement. That’s something that most people have already dismissed as being impossible.”
He found some pretty nifty ways around these early issues and although enemies had to be dispatched, it wasn’t by his character’s hands.

A lot of Charisma and a huge amount of time retrying scenarios and building settlements to earn XP were the key and it can all be watched here.
In other news, online retailer Amazon have revealed that Fallout 4 made the top three selling games on their site.
Bethesda’s newest wasn’t able to beat Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to the top spot, coming in second in front of Star Wars: Battlefront instead.

“This was another great holiday season to be a Prime member, and we welcomed three million new members in the third week of December alone,” said Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com.
“Over 200 million more items shipped for free with Prime this holiday, and members doubled their viewing hours of Prime Video compared to last year with the Amazon Original Series The Man in the High Castle leading the way as the most watched TV season ever on Prime Video.
“On behalf of Amazon employees around the world, we wish everyone happy holidays and the very best for the coming year.”
