Does Facebook Shopping spell the death of Amazon?
Facebook is adding the ability to purchase items direct from your News Feed
FACEBOOK sets its sights on Amazon and eBay as it limbers up to unveil a new Shopping feed.

Soon you'll be able to shop directly from Facebook (whether you want to or not…)
The Shopping feed is detailed in a corporate blog entry from the social network: 'Connecting People to Brands and Products on Mobile'.
In it, it suggests that nearly half of Facebook users come to the platform to look for products in their News Feeds. Pages and Groups.
Facebook has been playing with its own 'Buy' button for a while now.
However the new Shopping feed will act as a single destination for users to browse the different products on offer, as opposed to cluttering up your own News Feed with sales-driven posts.

Brands will soon be able to add the Shopping functionality to their pages
For those wanting to fill their baskets on Facebook, the new feature will pull together photos and posts from various retailers about the different products on offer.
The Shopping feed will also be personalised based on pages and interests you like, in the unlikely event you've got a shopping list to hand - you'll be able to search product listings too.

Where you can find it

At the moment the Shopping feed is only available to a select few, but when full rollout begins it'll be accessible from your 'Favorites'.
'Favorites' appears as a button in the Facebook mobile app, from there clicking on the 'Shopping' menu will present you with the storefront.
We imagine the Shopping experience will also turn up in your desktop browser, but we'll have to await further comment from Facebook on that score.
