Metal Gear Solid 5: Konami congratulate Hideo Kojima, Phantom Pain micro-pricing revealed
Metal Gear Solid 5's publisher Konami thanked Hideo Kojima for his work on the Phantom Pain
METAL GEAR SOLID 5 has landed on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms and publisher Konami have taken the time to congratulate Hideo Kojima, after revealing how Microtransactions work in some of the optional parts of the game.

With the Phantom Pain's final development cycle mired in falling-out rumours and reported intrigue on par with the game's storyline, Konami posted a message to the former director of Kojima Productions, thanking him for a job well done.
"Congratulations @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN @Ken1555 development teams & Konami staff in Japan, UK/EU & LA. It's an amazing game," the tweet reads.
The title's world wide launch happened today, with Metal Gear Solid 5 being hailed as a great gaming success.
It follows the fresh news on how Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain incorporates microtransactions, with the add-on payment based around the Phantom Pain's Forward Operating Base mode, although this will probably be expanded to Metal Gear Solid Online too when launched in October on consoles.
Players will be able to use FOB mode to expand and generate extra resources that can be used in the single-player campaign, while also having the choice of attacking other user's bases online.
Konami has already confirmed that FOB One will be a freebie, while the second will cost around 1000 Mother Base coins to build.
This is where microtransactions come in, players will be able to earn MB coins through completing tasks in-game, or can choose to purchase them, much in the sameway as GTA 5's shark card system works.
The UK PlayStation Store rates 6000 Mother Base coins at £40, although it is still unclear how this will affect competition online.

There is also the plan of being able to earn MB coins by simply logging into the game everyday, accumulating into bonus coins for the player, with a daily bonus schedule already in effect.
The Forward Operating Base multiplayer mode has been hit by some launch day server issues, leading Konami to make some temporary changes to Metal Gear Solid 5.
Konami said in an online statement: "We are currently experiencing server connection issues, so the following temporary measures have been taken to remedy the problem.
"MGS Servers 1) Number of missions listed in the FOB MISSION list has been decreased.
"MGS Servers 2) Display of info regarding Win/Loss, Points, Supporting/Supporters, and Heroism have been disabled in the FOB MISSION list.
"MGS Servers: 3) Number of missions listed in the online COMBAT DEPLOYMENT menu has been decreased."
