Final Fantasy 7 update- Dramatic changes coming to Square Enix classic
The Final Fantasy 7 remake will include changes to how combat works
THE Final Fantasy 7 remake is set to include dramatic changes that will also draw from the film, Advent Children, Square Enix has confirmed.

Some FF7 fans are worried by the notion that game director Tetsuya Nomura is set to shake things up big time with the new release on PS4.

And one area of the game that looks set to change is the classic Active Time Battle system, a core game mechanic that modern RPG fans will apparently not want to dabble with.
Speaking to Official PlayStation Magazine, Nomura revealed he was ready to modernise the 1997 but wouldn't let its old charm fade away too.

"We want to clarify: We're not going to be changing it into a shooter or something like that," Nomura explained.
"We are going to be bringing dramatic changes, but we want to make sure it's still recognisable.
The Final Fantasy 7 remake team are also set to draw from the 2005 film, Advent Children, although limited to just visual references and inspiration.
Square Enix have already confirmed that there will be story differences, although core plot points will not be for the chopping house floor.
"In terms of taking such an iconic game and giving it a fresh feel, we can't go into too much detail but we're not intending for this to become a one-to-one remake, or just the original Final Fantasy 7 with better graphics," Nomura commented in June.
"There are certain plot points we don't want to interfere with or disturb, nor will we want to change elements that fans have very big attachments to."

Original FF7 writer Kazushige Nojima is said to have returned to supervise the creation of the fresh story content.
