Facebook is a pretty solid cross-platform messenger.
Aside from the slew of baby photos, event invites, over-emotional statuses, throwback thursdays and Candy Crush invites, the Facebook website is a great way to contact your friends.

You can even kickstart video or voice calls with your friends from the simple online messenger.
Any photos sent between your Facebook friends in either individuals conversations or group chats can be downloaded from your browser, too.

According to a report in Business Insider, Messenger.com is only used by some 70 million users each month – a slim portion of the 1.44 billion users that login to Facebook.com each month.
