Uncharted 4: Nathan Drake's future revealed by Naughty Dog

NAUGHTY DOG have been discussing the future of Nathan Drake ahead of latest offering Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

 

Uncharted 4 is set for release later this year

 

The PlayStation 4 exclusive is set to be released in late April and is widely believed to be the last in the Uncharted series.

A Thief's End sees Drake dragged back into the murky world of treasure hunting, with Naughty Dog promising 'his greatest adventure yet' in a world which 'will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately, what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.'

And Creative Director Neil Druckmann is adamant that the popular hero will not be returning for any more adventures, telling The Sun: "We've been with this character for so long.

"He's at the height of his popularity, so it's not a good business decision [to walk away from the series]. But I feel like the best way to honour him is to go out on top, to finish his story.

"But with the end of [A Thief's End's] story, it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake.

"Maybe there'll be a prequel, maybe it will be a different character, I don't know. But this is the end for Nathan Drake."
