Gamers have been urged to pick up an Xbox One as soon as possible

XBOX ONE will see its ‘best lineup’ of games in 2016, according to Microsoft marketing executive Yusuf Mehdi.

 

The popular console has seen a number of top games hit shelves in the build-up to Christmas, with Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider leading the way for exclusives.

There are a number of big titles set to come out in 2016, including Gears of War 4, Quantum Break and Scalebound, which could see the Xbox One make a big sales push.

And Mehdi has advised gamers thinking of purchasing one to act quickly, telling them that Microsoft’s time has finally arrived.

Speaking at the Credit Suisse Technology Conference, he said: “If you like to game, this is the year to get an Xbox.

“We have Halo 5 launching. We have Minecraft on Xbox. We have Gears of War, Tomb Raider. The best lineup; next year will also be the best lineup. That’s led to really a great success on [Xbox].

“I really feel like the team is firing on all cylinders and we’re not going to stop after this holiday. Frankly, next year’s lineup is as big if not bigger.”
