GOOGLE has hidden a nifty little Star Wars Easter Egg into its hugely popular search engine.
Google is famous for hiding subtle movies references and geeky Easter Eggs across its hugely popular web services.
The US technology firm has today added another Easter Egg to its ever-growing roster. And its likely to appeal to Star Wars fans.
If you search Google for A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away, the up-to-date search results will be displayed in the iconic Star Wars opening crawl.
Scrolling on your trackpad, mouse scroll-wheel or smartphone and tablet touchscreen whizzes through the clickable search results.
Google has included a helpful pause button too, in case you need to pause the cinematic scroll and click on any of the results.
The US search firm is no stranger to hidden Easter Eggs.
Google has previously included an addictive Flappy Bird game an addictive Flappy Bird video game inside its Android Lollipop and Marshmallow mobile operating systems.
It has also hidden an endless running game inside an error message within its popaulr Google Chrome web browser.
And who can forget the classic Do A Barrel Roll search which spins your Google homepage in a nod to Nintendo 64 video game classic Star Fox 64?
The latest Google Easter Egg comes days after the Californian technology giant unveiled tools to completely transform Google services, including Maps, Gmail, Android Wear, Google Now with a Star Wars inspired look.
Amongst the customisations, Google will populate your calendar with Star Wars-related events and the small StreetView 'Pegman' in Google Maps transforms into either a First Order Stormtrooper or Resistance Pilot.
And once you launch directions within Google Maps – an X-wing or TIE fighter flies to your destination.
