How to change Twitter's new heart icon back to good old stars and favourites
Twitter has replaced its star-shaped favourite icon with a heart-shaped icon
SOMEONE has already found a way to change the new Heart icon back to trusty old Stars on Twitter.

Twitter last night replaced its star-shaped favourite icon with a heart-shaped icon called like, the latest effort by the company to make its website more engaging.
The company – facing slowing user-growth – has joined Facebook and YouTube in featuring like buttons, which have been popular with millions of users.
According to the popular social service, some users found the star icon confusing and the US firm's internal tests have shown people find the new heart much more intuitive to use.

But users were not happy with the change. Twitter was last night flooded with disgruntled traditionalists who rejected the new icon and terminology change.
One user wrote "No like this #hearts thing. There is a big jump in 'fav'ing something cause you think it's amusing and a 'heart' which implies you love it."
Whilst another unhappy fan posted: "What's with the #hearts twitter? I just can't get on board. #bringbackthestars"

Twitter says that hearts will also be appearing on iOS and Android, TweetDeck, Twitter for Windows 10, and on the Vine Android app and website.
But one enterprising fan has created a new add-on for Google Chrome which reverts the new icon back to the traditional star.
The simple Chrome extension – dubbed Fav Forver – was built by Brooklyn-based developer Reed Kavner.

The free add-on should please those who complained about the new icon change
Once the lightweight Chrome add-on is installed, Twitter's website will revert to displaying star-shaped favourite icon instead of the hearts.
"On November 3, 2015, the lives of millions of Twitter users were forever changed," the Chrome extension listing reads.
"Where yesterday there were stars, today there are hearts. Fav Forever brings the stars back."

The Chrome extension should please the Twitter users that last night rallied around the hashtag #WeWantFavButtonBack.
"Changing @Twitter's star to a heart is the worst product decision in the history of the internet; makes a bookmark into an endorsement," tweeted user Jason.
"You Facebooked my Twitter?" user Scott T. Smith added.
