Glastonbury 2016 sold-out in a staggering 32 minutes |
THIS new smartphone only allows people to buy and sell tickets at their original FACE VALUE – helping fans avoid being ripped off by online ticket touts and rival apps.
Meet Vibe Tickets.
This fresh-faced startup hopes to offer a forum for real fans to buy and sell tickets at face value.
Vibe Tickets offers people the chance to get their money back for a theatre show, music gig or festival they can no longer attend, by selling on the ticket.
But it's not a forum for people to make boat-loads of money reselling tickets to sold-out events to desperate fans with deep pockets.
"Vibe believes in real fans exchanges tickets at real prices," the creators of the app claim.
"We only allow users to sell tickets at face value, so you are more likely to be able to go along to a sold out event, without the massive price tag."
Vibe Tickets could provide a great way for you to get your hands on a ticket from someone who can't make it – without paying a premium.
The Vibe Ticket app, which launched on the Apple App Store on October 1st 2015, hopes to create a vibrant online community of attendees.
An Android version of the Vibe Tickets app is currently being built. It should hit the Google Play Store before Christmas.
"The Vibe app is also a great place to meet and socialise with people who are into the same things as you," the app listing promises.
"If that’s not enough, wouldn’t you love the feeling of giving a real fan the opportunity to go along to a sold out gig without being ripped off?"

Users can sign-up to the app using a Facebook or Twitter account.
Once you have signed-up to the app, Vibe asks you to pick your favourite music genres or type of gig (comedy, stand-up, music, etc) to help you to find similar members of the community.
Vibe wants users to meet and chat within the app before they go to an event.
A premium service within the iPhone app, which will allow Vibe Ticket users to be first in line for sold out tickets, is also in the works.
- The app is currently available for free on the iOS App Store
