XBOX LIVE is currently suffering problems with party chat and online gaming functions on the Xbox One, Microsoft has confirmed.

The problems that have been plaguing Xbox Live services on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows have been resolved, Microsoft have confirmed.
A message from the Xbox support team revealed that the service should have been restored to those who had limited access to core features, such as online gaming and party chat.
"The issues should now be resolved!" the Xbox support message reads.
"Please be sure to power cycle your Xbox console before trying to connect again."
UPDATE FOUR: Almost four hours after the original event occurred and fans are still having accessing core Xbox Live features.
Service has been limited since around 7pm, UK and includes: In-game matchmaking, cloud storage, finding friends, Game DVR, leaderboards, avatar editing, or pictures.
It effectively renders all the console's social online gaming features, such as party chat, unusable as of this time.
The latest from Microsoft: "Thanks for your continued patience while the issues with Xbox Live are looked into."
One man who isn't best pleased by the recent downtime is rapper Snoop Dogg, who has told Microsoft via social media that he is set to switch to PlayStation unless things get back on track pronto.

There has yet to be an ETA shared by Microsoft over how long the downtime could continue for, the rival PS4 console was recently hit by its own problems that left the PlayStation Network down for over nine hours in some cases.
UPDATE THREE: Whatever is causing tonight's issues is now doing the same for Xbox 360 users, Microsoft has confirmed.
The Xbox 360 has been added to the list of devices affected by the current outage, which include all social and gaming activities.
"Hey Xbox members, are you having trouble creating or joining your multiplayer sessions?" an Microsoft statement explains.
"Are you running into an issue with viewing notifications?
"We are aware of these issues and are working with our engineers to get this corrected ASAP!
"Thank you for your patience while we work."
Affected Microsoft platforms include the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Xbox on Windows.

UPDATE TWO: The Xbox support team on Twitter have provided an update on the current outage, confirming that Microsoft are continuing to investigate what has caused party chat and online gaming functions to stop working.
"Our teams are investigating & hard at work on the fix for this currently," a recent support message reads.
Problems with Xbox Live core services, meanwhile, continue to affect gamer worldwide, with outages confirmed across Europe and North America.

The outage started at around 7pm UK time and has meant many players have been unable to chat with friends while playing online.
The current error message being displayed while trying to use party function "801901f7" occurs when you try to renew your Xbox Live Gold subscription, according to the official Microsoft website.
The related help article is connected to changing your billing address and subscription details, rendering it useless for those currently affected.
