REAL MADRID target Harry Kane has pledged his future to Tottenham – believing it to be a bright one with Mauricio Pochettino’s young team.
The young England striker has been reported to be one of the main targets for new Real boss Zinedine Zidane and has also been linked with Manchester United.
But Kane insists he is perfectly happy at Spurs for the time being after scoring the last-minute penalty last night that kept them in the FA Cup.
Asked if he still saw his long-term future at Spurs, the man the fans call “one of their own” replied, “Yeah, definitely.
“There are always going to be rumours flying around but I'm happy here. The club is in a good shape, we have a great future and I'm raring to go so we will see what happens.
“We have got a lot of young players raring to go who are getting better and better with each game and that is all we have got to do. Keep working hard on the training field, we are getting better and more experienced the more we play and I think we can only get better.”
Kane had been rested for the third-round tie with Leicester but was sent on with 23 minutes to go and the London side trailing.
As soon as referee Robert Madley pointed to the spot, Kane was adamant it would be him to take the kick and his successful conversion means they can go into Wednesday's Premier League rematch against the same opposition with something of a boost.
“I was always going to take it,” Kane said. “Scoring a penalty in the last minute of the game to keep your team in the cup, it is what football is all about so I was happy to step up and thankful it went in.
“I'm sure there will be changes in the teams but there is a bit of a momentum swing into our favour scoring a last minute goal, we will take that momentum into Wednesday's game and go for the win.
“The FA Cup is a big competition and we wanted to stay in it, but Wednesday is a big game and obviously we are both near the top of the table so it will be a few-points swing if we win.
“Every game is going to be a tough game from now until the end of the season and we have to be ready for that.”
