The online calculator hints at how many sexual partners you could have been exposed to |
AN ONLINE tool which calculates how many sexual partners you have shared with other people claims the average Briton has been 'sexually exposed' to almost four MILLION people.
A calculator which reveals how many sexual partners you have been exposed to, is taking the web by storm.
The online test – which asks users to input the total number and age range of their partners – then works out how many people you have been exposed to through these partners.
"We take the number of partners you’ve had and what age they were when you last slept together, we multiply this by the number of partners they are statistically likely to have had, and by the partners of those partners, and the partners of those partners, and so on by six degrees," the online tool, set-up by LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor explains.
The calculator reveals the average Briton, who will have statistically slept with nine people during his or her lifetime, will have been sexually exposed to almost four million people.

The viral calculator is based on the theory of Six Degrees of Separation, which claims everyone on the planet can be linked to one another by only six connections.
The average Briton has slept with nine people, exposing him or her to 3,917,918 sexual partners |
LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor explains that its Sex Degrees of Separation tool is not a diagnostic one, but instead simply highlights the true risk of contracting an STI.
The average Briton will be exposed to a staggering 3,917,918 sexual partners during his or her lifetime, the calculator has revealed.
Research released this week has also revealed that one in six of those sexual partners will have never had an STI test because "they don’t see the point."
The online firm has released the online calculator to coincide with Sexual Health Week, which runs from 14th to 20th September.
It was designed to demonstrate how far STIs can spread if you don’t wear a condom.
