<strong>UPDATE TWO</strong>: A new spate of reports that the PSN is struggling in the UK are coming in today, linked to new users being unable to verify their accounts.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The jump in problems could have something to do with all the new PS4s being updated and used to access key online services.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The online group who threatened to take down both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, Phantom Squad, look to have stayed true to their commitment not to interfere during the holiday season.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
They posted this message on Twitter earlier in December, telling gamers: "We are not going to attack PSN or XBOX we will Take down @LizardLands for you guys so have a great Christmas Merry Christmas."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A group known as Lizard Squad were responsible for the mass outages that left fans unable to use their new consoles last year.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The PlayStation support team shared this message on Twitter today: "We're aware that PSN account notification emails are delayed. Thanks for your patience!"</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All other services are up and running, according to Sony, however some fans are reporting that verification emails aren't going through at this time, leaving them unable to log in.</div>

<strong>UPDATE ONE:</strong> The PlayStation support team have updated the status of the PlayStation Network, revealing that problems with Friends List features are being investigated.</div>

A message posted on Twitter by PlayStation confirms: "We're aware that some users are having trouble accessing their Friends list.</div>

"Thanks for your patience as we investigate."</div>

The PSN status page also lists gaming services as being hit by new problems, the message reads: "You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features.</div>

It is currently unclear what is causing the issues today, although it has been reported that a new online group called Phantom Squad would be ready to hit both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live much like last year.</div>

Current problems include being unable to add friends, signing in and playing online, although there has been no change in the official status of the <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/playstation-network-ps4-and-ps3-fans.html" target="_blank">PSN service</a> from Sony.</div>

UPDATE April 28: A new listing has been spotted that may confirm the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360.</div>

Dutch online retailer BOL.com reportedly listed the new COD title for both last-gen consoles, including box art and gallery pictures before they were taken down.</div>

ROCKSTAR unveiled its latest update for GTA 5's popular Online mode and it includes a huge list of new content set to bypass the Xbox 360 and PS3.<br />

<strong>UPDATE ONE</strong>: Rockstar have released the official trailer for the GTA Online: Lowrider expansion.<br />
It features Lamar as he sets out on his quest to dominate the Lowrider scene and features the continuing Ballas-Grove Street gang war.<br />
The new missions are part of the update that arrives next week, although it is unclear how many or what kind of payout they provide.<br />
It's clear fans will want to bulk up their bank balances ahead of release, with the new vehicles being added looking likely to cost a lot of in-game cash when it comes to all the best customisations.<br />
A message from Rockstar hinted at the new missions being added the game, explaining: "keep an eye out for calls and texts from Lamar – he’s making moves of his own through a series of new missions and he’s going to need your help.<br />
"You’ll want to hit up your trusted allies, wheelmen, and sharpshooters for backup too, as things are going to get hectic."<br />
<br />
Come October 20, Xbox One, PS4 and PC gamers will be able to visit Benny’s Original Motor Works, buy and customise new Lowriders models via their in-game phone and purchase a fourth property in Los Santos and Blaine County.<br />
Players will be able to make big modifications to the fleet of new vehicles, including decking out engine blocks with covers and air filters, coating interiors with velour, leather and patterns, while also getting to choose custom colours and designs for dials and new steering wheel and custom shift levers.<br />
It's a big change to GTA 5's usual setup and is the second update released from Rockstar that really gives some original new options.<br />

Rockstar have yet to announce any consolation updates for Xbox 360 and PS3 users, although with Halloween around the corner, there could be some specially setup Weekend Events just for last-gen customers planned.<br />
A message covering the reasons behind Rockstar decisions, explains: "Future content updates such as this are only possible on the newer and more powerful systems.<br />
