PSN down: PlayStation Network facing issues on PS4 and PS3 with Party features
PlayStation Network users are unable to access Party Chat services in the UK
PSN customers are reporting issues using key features, such as Party Chat functions, on their PS4 and PS3 devices.
 
The PlayStation Support Team have given an update to fans via Twitter, confirming that Sony engineers are on the case.
"We are aware that some users are having issues with party chat on PS4," the tweet reads.
"Thanks for your patience as our engineers continue to investigate."
Problems with the PSN's Party Chat functions were first reported at around 5pm, UK time and continue to cause problems with fans trying to play online with friends.
UPDATE ONE: Sony has confirmed that there are problems currently affecting the PlayStation Network that they are looking into.
The company has updated its PSN Status page, saying that PS4 and PS3 user may have trouble playing online, although they have not directly list Party Chat features as a problem area.
" You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features," a Sony message reads.
"Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience."

ORIGINAL: Gamers in the UK are being kicked from online parties and are unable to invite friends via the chat system.
One fan wrote: "Getting kicked from party Chat friends join and they get kicked. anyone Know anything?"
Error message are popping up, leaving users unable to make new parties, with the problem thought to be widespread.
PlayStation users say they are still able to play online but are can't use other key features, such as Share Play and Chat.
