BUNGIE have revealed that Destiny fans will see a fiercer fight in the Taken King return, following the recent update on some of the developer’s rewards systems.</div>

<strong>UPDATE ONE</strong>: As Bungie continue to update Destiny and the game's latest expansion, The Taken King, publisher Activision Blizzard have revealed the increased number of registered users on Xbox and PlayStation platforms.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The company's official earnings report shows that the figure is now up to 25 million, an increase of 5 million on May and 9 millions on February.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Daily player engagement is now well above 3 hours per day and the Destiny community has climbed to over 25 million registered players," the report states.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It also concludes that Destiny has become the most watched console game on Twitch, while more information is expected to be shared during the company's investor call later today.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The report didn't reveal how many of those accounts are still active, although the overall stats shared did list some of the game's successes from the September launch of The Taken King.</div>

"On September 15, 2015, Activision Publishing and Bungie released The Taken King, the largest update to the Destiny universe yet, which was enthusiastically received by fans and critics alike," the report continues.</div>

BUNGIE have unveiled Destiny's Eververse Trading Company, a new Microtransaction system that many fans have voted against.</div>

Player will have the option of snapping up emotes using a new currency called Silver, this can be bought using real cash in either Xbox Live or the PSN Store, depending on your system.</div>

This is all set to kick in on October 13, with Tess Everis offering 18 new emotes for purchase.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A bungie statement on the new changes explains that it will be used to support the team while they create new content for Destiny and insists it will only be an optional avenue for fans, who will also get some free Silver paid into their accounts next week.</div>

"To acquire these items, you’ll first need to pick up some “Silver,” a new in-game currency that will be available for purchase through the store associated with your console," the statement explains.</div>

A new range of concept work from the book, The Art of Destiny, shows off some of the earliest designs, including the many looks of The Traveler.<br />
Some cool new shots of The Hive, one of the main enemies for Guardians in the Destiny universe, can be found inside revealing some of the earliest takes on how Bungie wanted to handle the idea of space zombies.<br />
"Covering everything from the earliest sketches of the Guardians' armor to dilapidated cities on distant planets, this exploration of the art behind the year's biggest new gaming franchise details the incredible artistic development of each class, vehicle, and planet," the official description reads.<br />

Head of Design and Art at BioWare, Alistair McNally, shared a brief update on how Mass Effect: Andromeda is shaping up.<br />
"Spent today reviewing creative progress on #MassEffectAndromeda," he tweeted.<br />
"I believe it to be the best (and certainly largest) Mass Effect ever, hype."<br />
The Last of Us 2 has had another confirmation moment, without actually being officially confirmed by developers Naughty Dog.<br />
According to Machinima, during a livestream for the Nathan Drake Collection,  Josh Scherr, writer for The Last of Us gave fans more hope that the game is indeed on its way.<br />
He spoke about facial animations during the event, revealing that team member Eric Monacelli was involved in the process for the entire Uncharted series, as well as the first Last of Us.<br />

<section class="text-description"><a href="http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/588115/The-Last-of-Us-2-Naughty-Dog-PS4-sequel-TLOU-2" target="_blank">The project has yet to be officially revealed</a> by Naughty Dog, although these kind of instances appear to be on the rise.<br />
Like all good rumours, The Last of Us 2 was first given life through an employee's LinkedIn page and vague comments made by people from the studio.<br />
Last year for instance, Naughty Dog bosses revealed they were starting to explore ideas for a second game in the Last of Us universe but refused to guarantee another game would happen.<br />
Voice actor Nolan North also told an audience at a Metrocon panel earlier this year that The Last of Us 2 is in development.<br />
Responding to a question on if he was working with Last of Us developer Naughty Dog on anything new, North said: "For now I know they're doing Last of Us 2, but my character in Last of Us kind of met an untimely demise."</section><br />
