Having scooped some top awards earlier this year, Psyonix have now revealed their further plans for 2016, which will include "aggressive" content plans.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Speaking via a PlayStation blog post, Vice President of Marketing at Psyonix, Jeremy Dunham announced that Rocket League has reached almost 9 million players worldwide, an increase of around a million players inside a month.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dunham also explained some of the plans his team had for the game in the new year, adding: "Next year, we have even bigger things in store for Rocket League, with a number of exciting announcements already planned to appear over the next several months.</div>

Fans who have been waiting for an update to the game's explosive celebrations also got some answers on when they can expect some new goal explosion action.<br />

Vice president of marketing at Psyonix, Jeremy Dunham explained that what can be seen in the new trailer when the ball is put into the back of the net will be with fans in a few updates time.</div>

"The finished, working version of that goal screen effect is still a few updates away — polish, testing, and all that.</div>

"So the effect you see there is still a work-in-progress. It was just too cool to not show it in the trailer, haha."</div>

It's set to be followed by a new Back to the Future pack that launches next week and adds the world-famous DeLorean Time Machine as a playable Battle-Car in Rocket League.</div>

"Truth be told, we used to fantasise and joke about having the DeLorean in our game months before it even came out," Dunham added.</div>

"We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few “Holy Grails” we had hoped for besides having a hit game.</div>
