ROCKET LEAGUE on Xbox One could be announced by the end of 2015.
Developers Psyonix talked more on the release of Rocket League on new platforms, with the game currently available on PC and PS4 only.
The Soccer-car mashup was released via a Sony partnership on the next-gen console which included it being part of the free PlayStation Plus lineup.
Psyonix have hinted in the past that they could launch Rocket League on Xbox One but have so far been unable to confirm their plans.
Rocket League is a physics-based vehicle soccer game which has proved a real success story on both the PS4 and PC, racking up over two million downloads across both platforms.
The titles sees eight cars fighting it out on a football field which continues to be supported by new DLC content.
Publisher Psyonix are an independent outfit and can therefore bring the game to any platform, with CEO and studio director Dave Hagewood given an update on the subject.
"[Laughs] I can't say," Hagewood replied when asked about the game coming to Xbox One by Red Bull.
"We're looking at all kinds of platforms and there may be some announcements coming up at some point. Hopefully before the end of the year, but I can't confirm that."
The official Rocket League Twitter account has hinted at the fact in the past, asked if the game was coming to the Microsoft console, they replied: "We're being cagey on that answer for now."
They further commented after a fan questioned whether an Xbox release was even possible, tweeting: "Sony has been a big supporter of the game, but we're an independent dev; we developed it ourselves (we're on PC too)."
