Star Wars Battlefront set to surge forward on Xbox One, PS4 and PC with new DLC
Star Wars Battlefront on PS4, Xbox One and PC will require fans to surge forward in Turning Point
STAR Wars Battlefront fans are set to surge forward on Xbox One, PS4 and PC with the launch of the game's DLC.

The Battle of Jakku expansion pack is set to include a fresh map and a newly announced 40-player mode called Turning Point.
Arriving December 1 for pre-ordering customers and a week later for the rest, the Force Awakens-inspired DLC features the new game that challenges players to locate and capture three Empire bases.
Time is added to the clock everytime a new base is taken, with the difficulty set to rise everytime the Rebels move to capture another.

Battle of Jakku arrives in December

Lead Level Designer Dennis Brannvall explains: “At the edge of the map, the Empire has constructed a make-shift base as well as smaller fortifications strewn across the landscape.
"Following an emergency landing, the Rebels need to locate the enemy bases to attack and take control of them all.”
Moving on to Turning Points last Empire base will trigger a final stand scenario, while the mode will also include airspeeders and defensive AT-STs.

Players have even been promised the chance to watch a Super Star Destroyer come crashing down during the round in the Star Wars Battlefront update.
Brannvall adds: "A Turning Point match will often be very exciting since the outcome is never sure. There are also a lot of tactical possibilities that need to be considered.
"For instance: once the Rebels have started taking over a control point, it can’t be reclaimed by the Empire. Let’s say there’s only 25% left of the claim process and the Empire has managed to drive away the Rebels. This means that the Empire have to choose between defending this vulnerable point or another part of the map.
"The Rebels in turn need to decide where their next attack should be."
