Despite the iPhone lookalike HTC One A9 shipping with Marshmallow, HTC is now beginning to roll out the latest version of Android to its flagship HTC One M8 and HTC One M9.
According to the latest reports from inside HTC, the smartphones eligible for the update are Desire 820, Desire 826, Desire 816, HTC One M8, HTC One M8 Eyes, HTC One E9, HTC One E9 Plus, HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus.
HTC is expected to roll out Android OS 6.0 to all of the above devices before Christmas.
The HTC One M8 is likely to be the first to receive the update as the software build for this device has appeared in a Bluetooth SIG certification, which means it has been given a connectivity protocol.
Unfortunately it appears the HTC One M7 will not get the benefits of the latest version of the Android operating system.
