Windows 10: Microsoft is about to introduce a KILLER new feature for Windows fans
Windows unifies the desktop, mobile and tablet messaging apps – and transfers texts across platforms
IF YOU are invested in the Windows ecosystem, your life is about to get MUCH easier.

Windows 10, which rolled out worldwide earlier this summer, is unifying the firm's mobile and PC devices.
And now Microsoft is starting to take advantage of its new unified ecosystem.
The Redmond technology firm is introducing the ability to send texts from your desktop PC using chatty virtual assistant, Cortana.

This means you no longer have to rummage for your smartphone each time you need to send a text message.
Microsoft has also added the ability to type your text into the Cortana search field – and send the message from your taskbar.
The unified message service works by using the same Microsoft Account across the Windows 10 PC, tablet and smartphone.

Cortana can now send a dictated (or typed) text message from your desktop taskbar
Cortana syncs your data in the cloud and passes it between devices.
If you have multiple Windows 10 PCs, you can – thankfully – disable call notifications individually across your machines.
While the appeal is clearly limited to Windows 10 Mobile users at the moment – Microsoft could expand the functionality across its existing Cortana iOS and Android apps.
Microsoft is also hard at work on its new unified Skype messaging apps.

Microsoft is expected to roll out its Windows 10 Mobile operating system in December.
Microsoft is currently offering a free operating system upgrade to customers running genuine versions of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
The Redmond technology firm is even quietly installing the operating system onto your machine so it's ready whenever you decide to upgrade.

The promotion has helped drive uptake of Windows 10 and as a result, the new OS has been installed on a staggering 110 million devices within the last 11 weeks.
But the transition from older system to the latest version of Microsoft's operating system has been far from painless.
If you have managed to get your version of Windows 10 up and running smoothly – NewsNewsBlog.blogspot.com has rounded up SEVEN top tips to master your new operating system.
