Jurgen Klopp is the centre of attention as he arrives at Liverpool's hotel |
JURGEN KLOPP has wrapped up warm for his Anfield bow this evening.
Klopp takes charge of Liverpool in front of the Kop for the first time tonight for the visit of Rubin Kazan (8.05pm).
The former Borussia Dortmund boss will be formally introduced to his new home support after overseeing a 0-0 draw at Tottenham in his Reds opener.
And Klopp led his squad into the Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool this afternoon before their Euro clash.
Clutching a huge overcoat, a suitcase and a satchel, the 48-year-old looked ready to take on the cold Merseyside weather.
Klopp stopped to sign autographs for the waiting fans, breaking into a smile amongst an otherwise steely entrance.
The rest of the Liverpool squad was not far behind, as well as No 2 Zeljko Buvac.
Plenty of familiar faces were in attendance, with Philippe Coutinho looking understandably sombre after being dropped from the latest Brazil squad.
Mamadou Sakho pitched up with his mobile phone trapped between his headphones and his ear.
Christian Benteke looked in good spirits as he rejoined the group while Divock Origi appeared lost in his own world.

Klopp will be demanding a big performance from his charges at Anfield after sending a message to the fans.
"This is my first time as manager of Liverpool for a game at Anfield and it is something that will be very important for me and my staff," Klopp wrote in his programme notes tweeted out by Liverpool pre-match complete with a picture of the boss based on Barack Obama's famous 'Hope' campaign.
"You [the fans] have a vital role to play in what we are looking to achieve. You are a very special group of supporters and the atmosphere you create is unique.
"I ask that you believe in this team and believe that together we can achieve great things.
"We must all stay together and look to enjoy the experience of following such a great club.
"Football should be about joy and fun and that must be reflected throughout the entire organisation.
"The team will go out and battle for you and look to represent you, the club and the city in how we approach our work: this is my commitment."
