Windows 10: Your Safety Settings could be left in TATTERS after free upgrade
Restrictions on your child’s account are WIPED in the upgrade allowing children to access anything
WINDOWS 10 WIPES any Child Safety settings you had set-up on Windows 7 and Windows 8 during the upgrade to the latest operating system, it has been reported.

Microsoft released Windows 10 earlier this summer.
The Redmond firm has been praised for the new operating system’s design, which combines elements of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
However there have been a number of complaints from early adopters, including wifi issues, painfully slow boot-up speeds and controversial data collection policies.
Now it seems Windows 10 will not acknowledge any child-friendly Family Features from Windows 7 and 8 when you take advantage of the free upgrade available this year.
Children using Windows 10 PCs are considered Standard Users, with no dedicated child-specific accounts.
This means any age-restrictions on websites, apps and video games put in place when your computer was running on Windows 7 and Windows 8 will be no longer valid.

PC time limits and the ability to view all recent activity on the designated child account are also incompatible with Windows 10, The Register has reported.
This means children who were previously using very restricted Windows accounts will now be able to access a slew of inappropriate material.
To enable safety settings within Windows 10, users have to start the process afresh.
Users who upgrade to Windows 10 should also receive an email explaining that their previous child safety precautions will no longer be valid.
A spokesperson from Microsoft told The Register: “We will continue to roll out new Windows 10 Family features over time.
“We designed Windows 10 as a service, and we’ll keep listening to our customers.
“If there are ways to make improvements, we will do so.”
