Giuseppe Marotta told Rai Sport: “He is on loan but for the squad and his tactical flexibility we really need him.
“He plays in a different way compared to all our other midfielders.
“Cuadrado could help us a lot and we are happy about his performances.
“We will try to hold on to him for the next campaign.”

Saido Berahino is set to stay at West Brom until the end of the season despite interest from Newcastle and Spurs.
Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace has refused to bow down from his stance over Berahino with the club yet to receive a suitable offer.
The 22-year-old has scored four goals in 19 appearance this season and his relationship with Tony Pulis is understood to be acrimonious.
Fletcher, 20, scored on his Tykes debut after initially agreeing to a one-month loan earlier this January.
"I'm delighted to be staying here as I've really enjoyed my time here so far," Fletcher said.
"The dressing room is a great place to be and I'm excited looking ahead at the games coming up.
"I feel I will only get better as I get more experience under my belt and I want to help the team as far up the league as possible, so who knows where we can go."
