Marko Arnautovic has been in excellent form for Stoke this season

 

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has identified Marko Arnautovic as one of Stoke's main danger men ahead of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.

The Austrian has scored seven goals this season, forming an excellent relationship with Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan Krkic.

"Arnautovic was young player in Germany who had some problems but he has a big talent," Klopp said.

"He's scoring goals, making runs behind lines."

 

Jurgen Klopp has refused to discuss whether Mario Balotelli has a future at the club.

The Italian is on loan at AC Milan and his agent Mino Raiola claimed the striker will return to Anfield in the summer.

But Klopp said: "At this time I don't have time to think about next summer. 

"I am just thinking about what we can change in this moment."

 

Daniel Sturridge has suffered another setback in attempts to recover from injury.

The England striker tweeted he was “good to go” last week after returning to training.

But Klopp ruled Sturridge out of tomorrow’s semi-final and preached caution on expectations of a return.

"Daniel had some problems, not serious, but could not make a session and we had to wait a day," said the Liverpool manager.

"It is how a pre-season can be. Some little things happen and we have to handle this. It is not a row of sessions and we say 'Now we are here and go...'

"I will pick him when he is ready, I will not hold him back."
