LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has remained tight-lipped on the future of Mario Balotelli at Anfield.
The Italian striker was brought to Merseyside at the beginning of last season by Brendan Rogers but only managed to score four times in 28 matches.
Balotelli returned to AC Milan in August on loan but a groin injury in September has sidelined him ever since.
He's made just four appearances in Italy this season, scoring once, and his agent Mino Raiola claimed that Balotelli will return to Liverpool in the summer.
Former Liverpool boss Rodgers, sacked in October, signed him from Milan for £16million but the Italian's departure at the start of this season looked to be the end of his career at Anfield.
However, his agent's claims have fuelled further speculation on his future with Balotelli enduring another miserable season in Serie A.
Speaking ahead of the first leg of Liverpool's Capital One Cup with Stoke on Tuesday, Klopp said [on Balotelli]: "At this time I don't have time to think about next summer. I am just thinking about what we can change in this moment."
Klopp looks to have made his first signing as Liverpool boss, with Serbian star Marko Grujic flying in for a medical at Anfield, but the future of Balotelli will loom large over the German's head in the coming months with Daniel Sturridge's persistent run of injuries.
Liverpool's goal tally of 22 after 20 games is their worst ever in the Premier League.
The Reds are eighth in the Premier League, having picked up just seven points from their last six games with defeats at Newcastle, Watford and West Ham seeing them slide down the table.
