Jose Mourinho was yesterday sacked from his position at Chelsea

 

JOSE MOURINHO is still the best coach in the world, according to his agent Jorge Mendes.

 

The Portuguese boss departed Stamford Bridge yesterday as owner Roman Abramovich finally lost his patience with Chelsea's poor run of form.

The Blues sit one point above the relegation zone, despite winning the Premier League six months ago.

Mourinho has won an incredible 21 trophies in 12 years as a manager that has seen him succeed at Chelsea, Porto, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

 

And despite his failed attempts to deliver results at Chelsea this season, Mendes believes his past achievements shouldn't be overlooked.

“Jose Mourinho does not stop being the best coach in the world despite leaving Chelsea," he told Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

“Mourinho's career speaks for himself. When he left Chelsea the first time, he accepted a tremendous challenge and did what no-one in the football world believed he could do.

“He was to take on Inter Milan and lead him to win the Champions League, the Italian League and the Coppa Italia, a truly remarkable achievement.

“Then he went to Real Madrid and left a historic achievement of the Spanish League, beating all possible records against a great Barcelona, ??and also the Copa del Rey.

“Jose Mourinho is still the man who coached the English champions.

“I repeat he has an amazing career that undoubtedly speaks for himself.”
