SAM ALLARDYCE is ready to drag Chelsea into a relegation battle.
The Blues face Allardyce's Sunderland this weekend without a manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked yesterday.
Chelsea sit just one point above the relegation zone, having lost nine of their 16 top-flight games.
And Allardyce believes his side can take advantage of the turmoil at Stamford Bridge.
"It's fair to say that if we were to win, it would put a huge amount of pressure on Chelsea because we'd end up on 15 points, the same as they are," he said.
"That would take them further down the league and it would be a huge success for us.
"Their players haven't seen this before. They have had huge pressure at the top but the pressure down here is different."
Chelsea won the title back in May but have plummeted down the league this season.
Mourinho was axed following Monday's 2-1 defeat at Leicester, who moved top of the table thanks to the result.
