After the match, Mourinho insisted there was no problem with Costa.
He said: "I have a good relationship with him. There are no problems.
"I was not expecting to have a player on the bench jumping and singing because he is not playing. A top player is not happy. But his behaviour was normal."
Spurs are ready to offer Harry Kane a new deal worth £70,000-a-week to see off interest from Manchester United.
